Job Title: Social Media Lead

Location: Norfolk (4 days per week in office, 1 day remote)

Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 + generous bonus

Based in their modern Norfolk office, you will work for a market-leading digital entertainment business operating at significant scale, where social sits at the heart of brand growth, community, and customer engagement. They are looking for someone to own their organic social strategy across key platforms, with real scope to shape direction and make a measurable commercial impact.

Operating in a high-volume, high-velocity digital environment, the business blends creativity, technology, and customer insight to deliver engaging experiences. As the brand continues to scale, they are now looking for a Social Media Lead to take ownership of their organic social strategy and community growth.

 

Role & Responsibilities

As the Social Media Lead, you will own the organic social strategy across key platforms, driving growth, engagement, and commercial impact. This is a commercially focused role sitting at the intersection of brand, community, and revenue – requiring someone who can combine creative thinking, analytical insight, and strategic execution.

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in translating wider marketing objectives into platform-specific strategies that build engaged communities and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Social Strategy, Growth & Performance

  • Own the organic social media strategy and roadmap across key platforms
  • Develop channel strategies aligned to wider marketing and commercial objectives
  • Drive growth across followers, engagement, reach, and community quality through data-led planning
  • Use social media as a key acquisition and brand-building channel through campaigns, trends, and partnerships
  • Ensure social activity supports customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value objectives

Analytics, Insight & Optimisation

  • Build and own KPI frameworks measuring engagement, growth, and commercial performance
  • Analyse audience behaviour, content performance, and insights to identify growth opportunities
  • Use testing and experimentation to continually improve content strategy and channel performance
  • Create clear reporting and recommendations that demonstrate social impact across the business

Content & Creative Leadership

  • Develop and manage content calendars across social platforms
  • Create, curate, and publish engaging social-first content tailored to different audiences
  • Collaborate with creative, marketing, and wider teams to deliver high-performing campaigns
  • Turn wider brand activity into compelling social storytelling

Community & Brand Engagement

  • Build and nurture engaged communities across social channels
  • Develop initiatives that increase participation, advocacy, and user-generated content
  • Monitor audience sentiment and identify opportunities to strengthen relationships
  • Bring customer insights back into wider marketing and commercial strategies

 

Skills & Experience

This role is ideal for a commercially minded social media professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll be comfortable owning a content calendar, analysing performance data, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

  • Proven experience developing and executing successful organic social strategies
  • Strong understanding of how social media contributes to brand growth and commercial performance
  • Experience using analytics and insights to shape strategy and optimise performance
  • Confident building content plans, reporting frameworks, and growth strategies
  • Strong copywriting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A proactive operator who enjoys taking ownership and identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Understanding of AI tools and how they can support content creation, efficiency, insights, and workflow optimisation
