SEO Team Lead

Location: Germany – Remote or Hybrid. Business is based in Berlin.

Salary: €60,000 – €70,000

Languages: Native level German.

The Company

A leading ecommerce and fashion company based in Berlin is looking for an SEO Team Lead to lead SEO team efforts and strategy, as they grow the team and expand the business’s SEO efforts.

As you grow the business’s SEO efforts, you will grow and develop the SEO team beneath you. This also gives you the opportunity to progress in your career to a Head of SEO position.

You will have your own personal training and development budget, be able to work closely with and learn from the Head of SEO and have opportunities to attend industry events.

This role is completely remote working in Germany. There is the opportunity for hybrid work should you prefer to work out of the businesses Berlin offices.

SEO Team Lead Role & Responsibilities

As the new SEO Team Lead, you will lead the development and optimisation of SEO for the business, as you work closely with the CEO to lead the SEO team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading on creation and development of SEO strategy for the business.
• Manage the Executives and Managers within your team including management, delegation, and mentoring.
• Manage SEO roadmap for the business, including on-site and off-site SEO.
• Oversee content creation of the SEO team to ensure quality.
• Act as leadership within the business on an SEO perspective, as you work closely with the senior members of the business.

• Continual tracking, reporting, analysis, and optimisation of the SEO performance of the business.

Your Experience & Skills

As the business is looking to grow and expand their SEO efforts, there is the opportunity for you to grow and develop the team beneath you, as you progress to a Head of SEO position. The company does, however, ask that you have:

• Previous SEO experience, working at a Manager level as a minimum.
• Strong experience in Technical SEO, Off-Page SEO, and Content SEO.
• Strong experience in backlink strategies and acquisition.
• Experience in product roadmap development and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills are imperative for this role.
• Strong communication skills, as you work closely with other teams within the business and work closely with customers.
