About the Company

Herd Digital is working with an award-winning agency and one of The Drum’s ‘Elite Agencies’, who due to their lateral moves within the agency, are looking for their latest SEO Account Director. The company is looking for an experienced, well-rounded SEO who is keen to take charge of large-scale client strategy.

While based in the heart of London, the business supports you to work however works best for you: Only being in the office when required for internal and client meetings.


SEO Account Director Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of SEO, your main responsibilities will be SEO strategy of the largest and most lucrative client accounts. Additionally, you will:

  • Pitch new business with bonus commission for successful positions.
  • Delegation of tasks across the SEO team but being hands-on when necessary.
  • Creating roadmaps and forecasts for clients.
  • Be comfortable working closely with clients on a regular basis, building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Review the technical audits of the junior members of your team.
  • Use your skills and experience to develop the SEO executive and managers within your team.


Skills and Experience

The agency is committed to your continuing development, elevating, and maintaining your status as an authority in SEO, but does ask that you have:

  • Confidence in your ability to speak on all aspects of SEO.
  • Understanding of cross channel collaboration, how PPC and SEO can work to support each other etc.
  • Previous experience working closely with clients essential.
  • Experience of running and motivating a team of SEOs.
  • Analytical mindset, using data and analysis to drive strategy and optimisations.
  • Growth mindset: Yourself, your team, and with client accounts.
