Job Title: Head of Business Development & Marketing

Location: London/ Hybrid

Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + Commission, OTE £120,000 – £150,000

This is an opportunity for you to join an award-winning, independent digital agency who, due to their continued growth are looking for a Head of Business Development & Marketing to drive the businesses new business initiatives. The business has over 20 years of experience in delivering high-end digital marketing campaigns and strategies to their clients and have stayed at the forefront of innovations by continually investing in their digital marketing teams.

Head of Business Development & Marketing Role & Responsibilities

As the Head of Business Development & Marketing, your primary responsibility will include taking ownership of all RFPs and new business proposal for the agency. Additionally, you will:

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Manage the Marketing Manager and 2 New Business Managers.
  • Be involved in the development and execution of the market strategy for the agency
  • Report to and work closely with the Managing Director, as you learn and develop into a future Managing Director yourself.
  • Represent the business through networking and speaking at industry events.


Skills and Experience

The company is committed to the personal development of its team by supporting them through individually tailored, internal and external training to maintain their status as an industry leader; but does ask that you have:

  • Strong experience in new business and sales, either as a New Business Manager or Head of Business Development & Marketing.
  • Confidence in working closely with clients, networking and developing relationships with potential clients and industry leaders.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience selling digital marketing services, the likes of: SEO, Biddable, Social, PPC Programmatic, Digital OOH.
  • Experience managing a commercial and marketing team is desirable.

*Experience in a previous role may have been as a Commercial Director, Head of Sales, New Business Manager, Business Director, Sales Director, Client Services Director or something similar.
