About the company

Due to continued successes and growth, the business is looking for a Technical SEO Consultant to implement technical SEO strategies, and to assist clients with a wide variety of technical SEO tasks.

This is not your everyday SEO role. You will have the opportunity to work closely with web developers to prevent future technical SEO problems, and work closely with the Conversion Rate Optimisation team to ensure your work is effective. This is a role where you will have real freedom to make an impact with your work, while you learn from some of the best SEOs in the country.

Technical SEO Consultant Role & Responsibilities

As Technical SEO Consultant you will provide SEO support to the team to support growth: While working closely with senior management to deliver clients business objectives. Additionally, your role will encompass:

  • Identify technical SEO issues and providing analysis and solutions to developers.
  • Undertaking in-depth audits of client websites to discover opportunities for optimisation and improve the ‘health’ of client websites.
  • Perform extensive site migrations while mitigating any negative SEO impacts.
  • Working with senior management on new business pitches, earning commission on the successful pitches.
  • Manage a junior member of the Technical SEO team, while having input into their development.
  • Assist with creation of documentation for developers, to implement your technical solutions.

 

Your Skills & Experience

You will be supported by the SEO Director as you progress and grow within the role, but are expected to have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of technical SEO and a basic understanding of content SEO strategies and techniques.
  • Previous experience working in an agency is ideal, but not essential.
  • Previous experience managing executives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The desire and ability to continue to learn and develop new skills.
  • A motivated and analytical mindset, using data and analytics to inform decision making in a fast-paced environment.
  • An understanding of how to then implement these SEO recommendations garnered from your evaluation of data.
  • Strong Microsoft or Gsuite skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & CMS systems are desirable.
