Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

The Company

A retail giant based in West London that pride themselves on their friendly, diverse, and uplifting team are investing in their SEO team. As SEO Manager you will take charge of the planning and execution of SEO strategy, and help lead this expanding SEO team.

As a consequence of this expansion and growth, there is huge opportunity for project and strategy ownership, relationship building and management with key stakeholders and the opportunity for career progression within the SEO team.


SEO Manager Role & Responsibilities

As SEO Manager you will be supported by the Head of SEO to take charge of the development and overseeing the execution of the businesses SEO efforts. Additionally, your role will include:

  • Maximise SEO opportunities in line with the business’s overall roadmap, in aims of working alongside, while reducing, the business reliance on PPC.
  • Maximizing visibility and ensuring delivery of on organic traffic targets.
  • Delivering internal reports to stakeholders on campaign performances, landscape changes, and the impacts of your SEO strategy on organic traffic.
  • Identifying where team growth and skillsets are required to further development and putting together recommended routes for moving forward.
  • Working with SEO Executives, SEO developers and external SEO agencies to ensure your SEO strategies are implemented to their fullest.
  • And working with the Paid Media and PPC teams to ensure that SEO strategies work in collaboration with other Digital Marketing departments.


Skills & Experience

While you will be supported within this role by the Head of Digital Marketing and by the SEO Executives that make up your team, they do ask that you have:

  • 4+ years of SEO experience working for large retail businesses or experience working with large retail client accounts*.
  • Familiarity running complete technical and content audits.
  • Excellent people management skills as you collaborate with stakeholders: your own SEO Executives, external SEO Agencies that you outsource work to, as well as being the point of contact with other Digital Marketing departments within the business.
  • Expertise running split tests to optimise organic traffic.
  • Experience using all the classic SEO tools as well as Adobe Omniture.

*Previous experience in SEO may have been as a SEO Manager, SEO Executive, SEO Account Manager, SEO Account Executive, or something similar.
