Ideally you will be well rounded in SEO, with previous experience as an SEO Executive/ Account Executive role, looking to take that next step into project management, client relationship building and team mentoring.

 

About the company

Due to continued successes and growth, the business is looking for an SEO Account Manager to aid in project management and to help train and mentor junior members of the team. The SEO team works closely with Client Services to take care of admin tasks, giving you more time to hit your KPIs and allows for quicker progression within the company.

While based in Central London, working out of their trendy Shoreditch based office, flexible working is offered in terms of what hours you work and where you work.

The company has recently acquired access to a brand-new network of thousands of digital freelancers. You will have an annual budget to spend on outsourcing the work you can’t stand, giving you more time to focus on what you enjoy; whether that’s passing your experience on to junior members of your team or working on new business pitches.

 

SEO Account Manager Role & Responsibilities

As the SEO Account Manager, you will take leadership of the SEO strategy of industry-dominating clients. With a flat company structure, you will work with, not be micromanaged by, the Senior SEO Managers and Directors. Additionally, your role will include:

  • Developing technical, on-page and off page SEO strategies that are best suited to individual client requirements.
  • Working with the SEO Account Director and other Account Managers to create training programmes for new team members and the wider agency.
  • Leading at the client strategy level, offering insight and ideas to improve campaigns and client satisfaction.
  • Supporting the SEO Account Director to create opportunities for new business, with upselling and cross-selling when required.
  • Collaborating with Creative and Digital PR teams for content creation on campaigns you design.

 

Your Skills & Experience

Your professional development will not just be encouraged, but an active focus. You will have a personally tailored plan of formal training and clearly defined career progression to Senior SEO Account Manager. The company does ask that you have:

  • 2+ years of hands-on SEO Experience*.
  • Well-rounded SEO skills, technical and content understanding.
  • Confidence communicating and working closely with clients, to better understand their needs and get the best results.
  • A mathematical and analytical mindset, being confident and flexible as you use data to adapt your strategies as necessary.
  • Management experience is ideal but not a necessary, as you’ll be supported with training to aid with team and project management.
  • Experience with all the usual SEO tools, AhRefs, SEMRush, Google Analytics & Search Console, Screaming Frog, Deep Crawl etc.

*Previous SEO Experience may have been as a SEO Executive, SEO Account Executive, Senior SEO Executive, Senior SEO Account Executive, SEO Manager, or something similar.
