About the Company

Due to continued success and growth, an award-winning, independent digital agency are looking for a SEO Account Director to lead their SEO team based in the heart of London.

The business has over 20 years of experience in delivering high-end digital marketing campaigns and strategies to their clients and have stayed at the forefront of innovations by continually investing in their SEO teams.

The agency works in an extremely flexible, hybrid manner. You will have flexibility on your working hours that are suited to your individual needs if necessary and have flexibility with the days you choose to work in the office.

SEO Account Director Role & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include be focused on management of key client accounts, SEO strategy and offerings of the business, and team management. Additionally, you will:

  • Work alongside the Head of SEO to formulate and execute results driven SEO strategies.
  • Managing the SEO team to ensure SEO projects are delivered on time and meet client expectations.
  • Provide your strategic expertise to clients, and to the SEO team.
  • Act as the escalation point for clients and support on day-to-day of SEO activities when necessary.
  • Support the development and progression of the SEO Executives in your team.
  • Work closely with the Clients Services team, who handle the majority of day-to-day client communications.
  • Some optional work on new business pitches and acquisitions: If you choose.


Your Skills and Experience

The company is committed to your personal development, with a progression plan that will be tailored to help you develop to a Head of SEO position. The business does ask that you have:

  • 4+ years of SEO experience in an agency environment.
  • Experience in leading client communications, whether that’s pitching new business or dealing with senior level escalations.
  • Strong communication, ad you work with multiple teams within the business and with clients.
  • Confidence in building and developing relationships with clients and understanding best how to meet their SEO needs.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Well-rounded SEO skills, technical SEO, on-page, content creation and link building.
  • Experienced with Excel, SEO, and Analytics tools.
