About the Company

Due to continued successes and new client acquisitions, an award-winning independent agency based in north Merseyside is looking for a Senior Technical SEO Specialist.

The agency has a large portfolio of clients across eCommerce, retail, and fashion, which you will have the opportunity to lead on technical SEO for.

Senior Technical SEO Specialist Role & Responsibilities

As the Senior Technical SEO Specialist, you will take the lead on the technical SEO of a portfolio of clients, working closely with the content SEO team. Additionally, your role will include:

• Take the lead on in-depth technical SEO audits, to define an individually tailored SEO strategy for clients.
• Working closely with the web dev team on large-scale website launches and migrations.
• Review client’s organic performance, giving recommendations based on your expert insight.
• Analyse and perform technical SEO fixes on the fly, when necessary.
• Provide key technical analysis to support with new business development and new business pitches.
• Overall, aim to drive the performance of client websites and act as a Technical SEO lead in the team.

Your Skills & Experience

Your professional development will be an active focus. You will have a personally tailored plan to help you progress in your technical SEO career. The company does ask that you have:

• 2+ years of hands-on technical SEO Experience.
• Experience in an agency environment is ideal, but not essential.
• Demonstrable experience driving SEO results with your expert technical SEO analysis.
• Strong experience with complex technical audits, dealing with status codes, crawl, indexability errors etc.
• Understanding of CMS platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce etc.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with the typical SEO systems and tools: GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs etc.
