About the company

Due to continued successes and growth, the business is looking for a Senior SEO Account Manager to aid in project management and to help train and mentor junior members of the team. The SEO team works closely with Client Services to take care of admin tasks, giving you more time to hit your KPIs and allows for quicker progression within the company.

While based in Central London, working out of their trendy Shoreditch based office, flexible working is offered in terms of what hours you work and where you work.

What do you hate about your job? Can’t stand link-building? No problem.

The company has recently acquired access to a brand-new network of thousands of digital freelancers. You will be provided an annual budget to spend on outsourcing the work that takes up too much of your time. This leaves you more time to focus on what you enjoy, whether that’s passing your experience on to junior members of your team or working on new business pitches.

Senior SEO Account Manager Role & Responsibilities

As the Senior SEO Account Manager, you will take leadership of the SEO strategy of industry-dominating clients. With a flat company structure, you will work alongside, not be micromanaged by, the SEO Directors. Additionally, your role will include:

  • Helping support the training and development of the SEO Executives and SEO Managers, who support delivering your SEO strategies.
  • Being comfortable leading on client communications and creating and executing strategies on several key accounts that you will have ownership of.
  • Working on business development opportunities with upselling and cross-selling.
  • Producing regular reports for clients, including insights from results on moving forward.
  • Stating up to date on latest SEO tech, updates and industry, and filtering down this knowledge to the junior members of your team.

Your Skills & Experience

Ideally you will be strongly rounded in SEO, with previous experience as an SEO Account Manager. You will have greater authority and autonomy in project management, client relationship building and team mentoring, as you progress to the SEO Account Director position. The company does also ask that you have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO Experience, with experience in team and account management*.
  • Strong experience collaborating across channels, and a proactive approach to solving issues as and before they appear.
  • Confidence communicating and working closely with clients, to better understand their needs and get the best results.
  • A mathematical and analytical mindset, being confident and flexible as you use data to adapt your strategies as necessary.
  • Experience with all the usual SEO tools, AhRefs, SEMRush, Google Analytics & Search Console, Screaming Frog, Deep Crawl etc.

*Previous SEO Experience may have been as an SEO Manager, Senior SEO Executive, Senior SEO Account Executive, or something similar.

Company Benefits
