Senior Planning Manager

Location: London/ Manchester – Hybrid & Flexible Working

Salary: £52,000 – £60,000 + Discretionary Bonus

 

A small network agency with offices in central Manchester and central London are looking for a Senior Planning Manager to join their media planning team. The business works with some household name clients, which you will have the opportunity to take the lead on.

Senior Planning Manager Role

As Senior Planning Manager, you will have the opportunity to take the lead on planning of offline and digital marketing, with a predominant focus on offline media. The business is looking for someone to help the business transition to full funnel campaigns across the range of offline media, and some digital media. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overall planning for both digital and offline platforms.
  • Working closely with, and being supported by, the Planning Director on overall campaign and planning strategy.
  • Training members of the team on how to plan upper and full funnel campaigns.
  • Working closely with the creative, client and campaign teams.
  • New business pitches and client acquisitions.
  • Project management and client management, with a focus on offline media.
  • This role will progress to include line management, with 2 – 3 individuals who report to you and support your work.

This role doesn’t include media buying – this is the responsibility of the client and campaigns team.

 

About You

The business is committed to your professional development, and offers internal and external training, to help you grow into the Senior Planning Manager role. The business does ask that you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in offline and online planning.
  • Experience using planning tools such as TGI, YouGov and Mintel.
  • Experience identifying insights to inform a strategic media plan.
  • Brand campaign experience.
  • An adaptable mindset, with the ability to react to changes in the market and industry with ease.
  • Performance campaign experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience managing or training junior team members is ideal, but not essential.
