Recruitment Consultant (Digital Marketing)

Location: 14 Castle Street, Liverpool L2 0NE

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 + Commission (OTE Year 1: £40,000 – £60,000)


Due to a recent internal promotion, we’re hiring for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our team of specialist Digital Recruiters here at Herd Digital!

How we support You

We offer training and support as you build and maintain ongoing client and candidates’ relationships with Digital Marketing professionals. We also provide training to help you understand digital marketing, so don’t worry if you don’t understand the difference between Paid Search or Paid Social, we can help.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Networking with Digital Marketing professionals, whilst researching and improving your sector knowledge.
  • Interviewing candidates to understand what they’re looking for from their next role, and gain insights into your market.
  • Identifying, attracting, and engaging with industry influencers.
  • Sales, selling solutions and services.
  • Provide advice on current state of the market, CV and interview techniques and manage candidate expectations.
  • Be a part of the team, motivating one another and communicating effectively.


As you progress within the role you will receive training in:

  • Prospecting for new business by communicating with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs.
  • Consulting and engaging with clients to understand their requirements and sell the most appropriate solution for attracting the right candidates.


Skills & Experience required for the Recruitment Consultant role

Previous digital marketing recruitment experience is not essential, as we are looking for hard-working people who are eager to learn. However, to be successful as a Digital Recruitment Consultant you will be self-motivated, determined, and driven to succeed within your career. You will also:

  • Previous experience in a Recruitment, Sales, or similar role is required for hitting the higher salary threshold.
  • Be confident in communicating with both candidates, as well as professional organisations over the phone, email, and face to face.
  • Have a passion for communicating with different people, and the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Be hardworking. This is a job where the more you put in, the more you get out – including unlimited commission and holiday incentives for just doing your job!
  • Be diligent and detailed in your work; cutting corners is not for you.
  • Be organised and self-sufficient, to stay on top of your own workload.
  • Be passionate about overcoming challenges and finding solutions.

Additionally, you will have a strong desire to build relationships with both clients and candidates, create a portfolio of professional business connections, and an overall brand presence in the Digital marketing recruitment market.
