Planning Director Role & Responsibilities

As Planning Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the digital strategy for key clients across multiple channels and verticals. Additionally, your role will include:

  • Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with specialist teams and client strategy team to create in-depth, multi-channel digital strategies for the agency’s client accounts.
  • Contributing to the overall digital media strategy of the agency: Supporting individual teams where necessary.
  • Be involved in agency training, filtering your expertise down to junior members of the team.
  • Working with new clients and key clients: Taking briefs and turning them into digital strategies.
  • Working with the new business team on new business acquisition, development, and pitches.
  • Ensure the agency is constantly innovating and working with the latest tools and technology.

 

Your Skills and Experience

The company is committed to supporting you to work how is best for you, as your success is the agency’s success. The agency does ask that you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing strategy in an agency environment.
  • Experience across Performance Marketing (Social, Search, Programmatic etc), and Above-The-Line marketing (ATL) including Connected TV (CTV), Audio, and Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH).
  • Extensive knowledge of digital marketing, media, and strategy.
  • Hands on experience in at least one key digital marketing channel.
  • Previous experience with data analysis tools, turning data into actionable outputs for clients.
  • Translating client business goals into digital marketing strategy that encompasses the digital media landscape and all channels and verticals.
  • Experience working with multiple teams concurrently, some of them being niche and specialist.
  • Experience working on new business acquisition including new business pitches and strategy.
