Salary: Up to €100,000.

About the Company

A leading, digital performance agency based in Berlin are looking for a Head of Paid Social and Display to lead their Paid Social and Programmatic teams. This role is a hybrid and flexible basis, with 2 days a week in the company office and flexibility around your working schedule to suit your individual needs.

As part of a large network of companies and agencies, you will have the support of the wider network while still getting to enjoy being part of a close-knit and integrated agency. The business works in a flat hierarchy, with the Managing Director still being involved in the team and always available.

The agency prides itself on supporting their team by providing goals and targets, teaching, and regular coaching: Without the micromanagement of larger agencies. You will be supported to work how is best for you.

 

Head of Paid Social and Display Role Overview

As Head of Paid Social and Display, you will be instrumental in the continuing operation and development of the Paid Social and Programmatic Display efforts of the business. This role also comes with the opportunity to transition into a channel-specific role.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business goals into realistic advertising strategies with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Manage and allocate budgets ranging €5m – €8m, across B2B and B2C client accounts for Paid Social and Programmatic channels.
  • Oversee full funnel campaigns, emphasizing conversion goals for sales and lead generation, as well as awareness.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of both Paid Social and Programmatic professionals, fostering career development and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with clients on an ad hoc basis, providing support when needed.
  • Analyse marketing data to generate regular reports and insights for the executive team, focusing on successes and areas for improvement.
  • Refine and enhance marketing strategies based on data-driven insights and feedback from team members.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Heads of Search, Account Management, and Supporting teams.

 

Requirements for the Head of Paid Social and Display Role

  • C1 German minimum.
  • 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience of managing budgets of at least €5m per year.
  • Proficiency in Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and/or Programmatic channels
  • Experience with DV360, ActiveAgent, Zemanta, Outbrain, Taboola, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit is also desirable, but is not essential.
  • Leadership experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to be hands-on operationally and dive into platforms when needed.
  • Background in Branding or Performance marketing.
