Salary: €150,000 + Shares

Languages: English mandatory, German or French are a plus 


A revolutionary, Berlin based Female led brand which is focused on female empowerment are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to drive the businesses growth and expansion. This role is focused on nurturing the brand identity in line with company goals, ensuring a consistent messaging across all marketing channels as well as growing brand desirability and awareness.

If you’re a strong leader with a deep relationship with female empowerment, and an innate understanding of Performance Marketing, Influencer Marketing, and CRM from a B2C start-up environment, then this role offers you the opportunity to work on eye level with the CEO & founder to actively shape the future of this exciting brand in all strategic decisions, acting as a sparring partner for new ideas and becoming a stalwart for future growth.

The position offers remote or hybrid working with flexible working hours, although are looking for someone based in Germany.


Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Role Overview

As the CMO, you’ll be second-in-command with a co-founder mindset, taking charge of growth embracing change, and driving improvements. You will own the creation and execution of a profitable growth strategy with all paid and unpaid initiatives, and take complete commercial ownership of pricing, expansion, budgeting, staffing, and goal setting to drive sustainable and profitable growth for the business and its users.

You’ll manage a dynamic team of 25 across various international markets, with 4 direct reports including the Heads of Paid Social; CRM; Influencer Marketing; and Brand. Your expertise in Performance Marketing, Influencer Marketing, and CRM will enable you to collaborate closely with four Marketing Leads, guiding them to success.

Chief Marketing Officer Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and allocate seven-digit budgets annually to drive impactful campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with C-Level stakeholders and marketing leads to shape marketing strategy.
  • Oversee a mixed team of 25, including four direct reports, in international markets.
  • Dive deep into operational data to advise on training and efficiency improvements.
  • Leverage your strong grasp of multiple Ad Managers to guide campaign setup and optimization.
  • Apply your extensive knowledge to challenge and support the teams in Performance Marketing, Influencer Marketing, CRM, Branding, PR, and SEO.
  • Analyse data to optimize strategies and make decisions that drive both growth and sustainability. Collaborate closely with our Head of Data Analytics.


Skills and Experience Required for the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Role

  • Fluent in English, German or French is a plus.
  • Over five years of experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Performance Marketing, Influencer Marketing, or CRM.
  • Solid understanding of multiple Ad Mangers; how to set up campaigns, testing and testing frequency etc.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a minimum of 5 people.
  • Prior experience in B2C/D2C start-up environments.
  • Highly analytical and data driven, prioritising ROAS, with a keen understanding of profitability levers and business dynamics.
  • Demonstrated alignment with the company’s values of empowerment and feminism.
  • Resilient, with a refusal to give up easily, and creatively solve challenges in the marketing space.
